Marc Mendelson

Marc Mendelson is Professor of Infectious Diseases at University of Cape Town and an Infectious Diseases Specialist at Groote Schuur Hospital. He is Chair of the Ministerial Advisory Committee on Antimicrobial Resistance, and an expert in antibiotic stewardship, working on national and international strategies to prevent a worsening of antibiotic resistance. He has held the presidencies of the International Society for Infectious Diseases and Federation of Infectious Diseases Societies of Southern Africa.
