Marcus Carter is a Lecturer in Digital Cultures at The University of Sydney, and a recipient of the University's SOAR fellowship in 2018. Marcus’ research focuses on the social, persuasive and educational dimensions and experiences of game play. He has studied and published on a wide range of games, including EVE Online, DayZ, Candy Crush Saga, Warhammer 40,000 and the reality TV series Survivor.
Marcus Carter is also an Honorary Fellow in the Microsoft Social NUI Research Centre, in the Computing and Information Systems department at The University of Melbourne.
