Postdoctoral researcher, Universidad de Granada

I finished my Ph.D. period last December of 2023, supported by the Spanish Ministry of Economy, Industry, and Competitiveness (FPI). Currently, I am a post-doctoral researcher supported temporarily by Contratos Puente from the University of Granada and the Department of University, Research, and Innovation of the Regional Government of Andalucia.

I finished my Psychology Degree in 2016, followed by a Master's in Cognitive Neuroscience in 2017, both at the University of Granada. I spent a year in collaboration with the attention and consciousness group where I published my Final Project in the master (TFM) called: Heart-rate modulations reveal attention and consciousness interactions (DOI: 10.1111/psyp.13295).

Currently, I am interested in the relationship between different attentional networks and phenomenological consciousness. It is possible to measure this type of consciousness by correct or incorrect feature integration processes (illusory perception). I use behavioral, electroencephalography (EEG), and electrocardiography (EKG) methods to highlight this field. Also, I am interested in the relationship between the central (brain) and the peripheral nervous system (organism), since this constant interaction is gaining great relevance in different cognitive processes such as consciousness.
