Maria Lohan

Dr Maria Lohan is Chair in Social Science and Health, Director of Research School of Nursing and Midwifery & Deputy Director of Centre for Evidence and Social Innovation, Queen’s University Belfast. She specialises in men’s health research with a particular focus on men's sexual health, reproduction and fatherhood .

Her research focuses on developing theoretically informed men’s health research and the development and evaluation of educational and healthcare interventions to improve men's sexual health, reproductive health and their involvement in parenting.

She is Associate Editor of BMC Public Health and a member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Men’s Health and of the management board of the Men’s Health Forum of Ireland.
