Maria O’Hanlon

PhD Candidate in Biology, Teesside University

I am a second-year PhD student at the National Horizons Centre (Teesside University), researching the roles of mitochondria in Parkinson's disease, using fruit flies as a model system. My main research interests surround the role of mitochondria in health and disease, alongside genetics and developmental biology. I am enthusiastic about science communication and engagement in public health.
