Assistant Professor in Additive Manufacturing Management, University of Nottingham

Dr Martin Baumers is an Additive Manufacturing expert and trained economist, with a keen interest for invention and innovation. Martin has been fascinated by additive technologies since 2004. He has since then completed a PhD on Additive Manufacturing, written several academic and non-academic papers on the topic and contributed to Additive Manufacturing projects in aerospace, automotive, industrial machinery and the medical and retail sectors.

Martin's areas of scientific interest are the financial cost and energy consumption of the various additive processes as well as the benefits that can be derived from adopting the technology.
