Martin Kovan is a writer and scholar in ethics and philosophy. He completed doctoral studies in Philosophy at the University of Melbourne, following graduate degrees in English. He's worked as an educator in South and SE Asia, as well as for some years in France, and held visiting scholar positions at UC Davis (USA), NUS (Singapore), Mahidol University (Bangkok) and Vrije Universiteit (Amsterdam). His academic and creative writing in multiple genres has been published regularly in Australia, and overseas. His monograph "A Buddhist Theory of Killing: a philosophical exposition" was published in June 2022 by Springer.
