Associate Professor, Centre for Gambling Education and Research, Southern Cross University

Dr Martin Young is Associate Professor within the Centre for Gambling Education and Research (CGER) at Southern Cross University. He is also affiliated with the Menzies School of Health Research (Darwin) and the Australian National University. Prior to taking up his position at Southern Cross University in 2011, A/Prof Young led the Northern Territory gambling research program and has previously served as a committee member of the National Association for Gambling Studies and as editor of the journal Gambling Research. His research focusses largely on the social and spatial impacts of poker-machine venues on which he has published widely.
