Mayssam Nehme

Mayssam Nehme is a scientific researcher and primary care physician whose focus on post-COVID has led to several publications and projects including a cohort study followed since March 2020 with more than 8000 participants tested for SARS-CoV-2 with follow-up on their symptoms’ evolution every 6 months. Based on this work and ongoing experience Dr Nehme has been mandated by the Federal Office of Public Health in Switzerland to conduct and coordinate a national project on post-COVID recommendations for primary care physicians. Her work with the first and largest Swiss multidisciplinary consultation for post-COVID patients has also led to share this experience via the RAFAEL platform providing tools for patients and physicians to detect and manage post-COVID (www.rafael-postcovid.ch), and to take part in the first Swiss trial on a pharmacologic treatment for post-COVID fatigue and neurologic symptoms under the direction of Pr Idris Guessous.
