Megan Jones is a PhD Candidate at the Business School of the Queensland University of Technology, Australia. She holds a Bachelor of Business (Honours) from the Queensland University of Technology and a Master of Social Science (International Development) from RMIT. Megan is also a Chartered Accountant as designated by the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

Megan’s PhD research focuses on the intersection of taxation and human rights in developing countries and she is funded by the Accounting for Social Change High Potential Research Group. Megan has previously worked in both fields of taxation and human rights. She spent several years in London advising on international tax matters and following the completion of her Master’s consulted on child rights for UNICEF Nepal. Her research interests now combine the two.
