Mejbah Bhuiyan is a microbiologist, infectious disease epidemiologist and early-career researcher with an outstanding track record for his stage of career. Mejbah completed his PhD from University of Western Australia in 2019 on microbiological and epidemiological aspects of pneumonia in Australian children.
Dr Bhuiyan is a Post-Doctoral Researcher with Wesfarmers Centre for Vaccines and Infectious Diseases, Telethon Kids Institute, Perth, WA and is currently leading the Epidemiological part of a clinical trial on respiratory illness at Perth Children’s Hospital. Mejbah previously worked for International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh as Microbiologist and Epidemiologist. He brings a wealth of research experience on paediatric infectious diseases from both developed and developing settings.
