Michael Loughlin

Principal lecturer in the School of Science and Technology, Nottingham Trent University

Dr Loughlin is a microbiology lecturer who studies how exposure to disinfectants can lead to antibiotic resistance in healthcare associated bacteria.
He is the Learning and Teaching Manager for the School of Science and technology.
He was the Course Leader for Forensic Biology, Module Leader for the undergraduate modules Microbial Metabolism and Genetics and The Microbial World and Module Leader for the MSc module Biological Systems. he is the Chair of the Course Leaders forum.
Member of the Tutorial, Assessment and Blended Learning working groups and
Co-organiser of Annual 6th Form Biosciences Conference.
He helps run the annual Antibiotics Awareness week events at NTU
