Director of Undergraduate Programs, Texas Woman's University

Dr Michelle Buggs currently serves as the Director of Undergraduate Academic
Programs in the Department of Undergraduate Studies and Academic Partnerships at Texas Woman’s University. Prior to this role she served as the Assistant Director for Intercultural Services where she developed and coordinated mentoring and leadership programs for historically underrepresented populations and first-generation college students for over six years. Currently Michelle coordinates the First Year Experience course at TWU and assists with retention and academic initiatives at the university. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Dallas, a Masters of Arts in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University, and recently completed a Doctorate of Education in Higher Education from the University of North Texas. Dr. Buggs’ professional and research interests include multicultural competence/diversity training, student leadership and
training development, mentoring, and identity development for young women of color.
