As an Assistant Professor in the school of Rehabilitation Science, CanChild Scientist and Adjunct Scientist with Bloorview Research Institute I lead research on the accessibility of children's rehabilitation services. This includes consideration of the social determinants of health, parent mental health, equity and critical evaluation of service design and delivery. I have worked directly with children and families as a speech-language pathologist. I fundamentally believe that families can and should shape service delivery and childhood disability research. Authentic and meaningful collaboration and partnerships are fundamental to my research. I teach about children's speech and language development, assessment, intervention and complexity of practice in the Speech-Language Pathology Program at McMaster University.
