Mieke Kox

Mieke Kox is a postdoc in the project 'The everyday experiences of young refugees and asylum seekers in public spaces' which is funded by HERA.
In this collaborative research, we explore issues of refugee youth, public space and integration in Europe, particularly in Amsterdam, Brussels, Newcastle and Leipzig. Mieke is mainly responsible for the case of Amsterdam.
Her previous research focuses on the everyday experiences of unauthorized migrants, migration control, immigration detention, transnational prisons and foreign-national prisons. For more information, visit: https://www.uu.nl/staff/MHKox
