Miklós Antal

Miklós Antal is an ecological economist focusing on energy system transitions and post-growth economics. Currently, he leads projects on the feasibility and desirability of working time reduction at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna, Austria, and the Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest, Hungary. Previously, he studied energy retail markets at the University of Leeds. He also spent time at the Central European University doing research on transitions in the electricity and building sectors, as well as the Autonomous University of Barcelona where he worked on energy rebound and the environmental sustainability of economic growth. He is also interested in environmental communication and visited the University of Helsinki while doing research on this. His PhD in ecological economics and MSc in engineering-physics were from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics.
