Senior Research Fellow, University of the Sunshine Coast

Dr Natassia Goode is a Senior Research Fellow and Organisational Safety Theme Leader within the Centre for Human Factors and Sociotechnical Systems at the University of the Sunshine Coast. Her honours and PhD research in Psychology at the University of Sydney was concerned with how people learn to solve problems in complex, dynamic and uncertain environments. Since then, her research has focused on applying Human Factors and systems thinking approaches to fundamentally change the way that organisations manage safety, and reduce incidents. Most of her work has focused on optimizing incident reporting and investigation systems. She currently holds an Advance Queensland Research Fellowship in partnership with the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service, which involves applying Human Factors methods to identify ways to enhance medication safety.
