Clinical Associate Professor of Hepatology, University of Nottingham

Dr Neil Guha is a Clinical Associate Professor in Hepatology at the University of Nottingham. He trained at Guy's and St. Thomas's hospitals and began his postgraduate career in hepatology at St. Mary's Hospital, London. His doctoral thesis, awarded by the University of Southampton, focussed on non-invasive biomarkers of liver fibrosis.

He completed his clinical training at the Southampton Liver Unit and was appointed as a clinical lecturer by the University of Southampton in 2008. He moved to Nottingham in 2009 to commence his current post at the National Institute of Health Research Nottingham Digestive Diseases Centre Biomedical Research Unit. His research continues to focus on biomarkers of liver fibrosis with current work in serum markers, hypothesis generating technologies, imaging modalities and utilisation of biomarkers in clinical practice.
