Dr. Nevbahar Ertas' research focuses on public policy, program evaluation, and public service in government and voluntary and nonprofit sectors. Policies and programs rely on assumptions and expectations regarding individual behavior, both for service recipients and for service providers. Dr. Ertas has examined such assumptions and behaviors in various policy areas and employment sectors.
Her research has been published in a number of peer-reviewed journals including the American Review of Public Administration, Journal of Public Administration Research and Theory, Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Quarterly, International Journal of Public Administration, Children and Youth Services Review, International Journal of Volunteer Administration, and Education and Urban Society.
Dr. Nev, as she is referred to by her students, currently teaches courses in research methods, program evaluation, and public policy process in the Master of Public Administration program.
