Nicholas Mortimer

Geologist, Principal Scientist, GNS Science

I am a Principal Scientist based at GNS's Science's Dunedin Research Centre in the South Island of New Zealand. My expertise is in petrology, geochemistry and structural geology. I am interested in all aspects of the onland and offshore regional geology and tectonics of New Zealand, the continent of Zealandia, eastern Australia and the SW Pacific Ocean. Since 1999 I have led and/or participated in seven marine and two Antarctic expeditions.
