Nicholas Robert Cooper

Academic Director of the Centre for Brain Science, University of Essex

I am a Cognitive Neuroscientist. In particular, I seek to understand the electrical rhythms of the brain that we can measure with electro- and magnetoencephalography (EEG/MEG). My more psychological interests are concerned with stress and ageing, attention and anxiety, and embodied cognition (including individual differences in empathy, contagious behaviours and gut-brain interactions).
