Nick Bain

I am a UK based screenwriter, playwright and producer living and working in London. I studied journalism in my home city of Edinburgh and am a graduate of Birmingham University’s MPhil in Playwrighting Studies. I have over seven years' industry experience working on feature film projects in Bollywood, Nollywood, North Africa, and the UK as a screenwriter and script consultant.

In the last year, I secured American representation and have broken into the Hollywood production line with two large scale projects now in development. In the theatre, my plays ‘Prints of Denmark’ and 'Killing the Dream' were staged in theatres in London in 2007 and 2009. The theatre is still my first love, but the film work tends to dominate these days.

I am also a Lecturer in Screenwriting at the University of Greenwich, and a Sessional Lecturer in Media, Communications and Business studies at Kensington and Chelsea College.
