Nonie May is a researcher and PhD candidate at The University of Melbourne in the discipline of Screen and Cultural Studies. Her PhD considers representations of the child and childhood in contemporary cinema through psychoanalytic, phenomenological, and intersectional feminist lenses. She is also a sessional tutor and lecturer at The University of Melbourne and has worked as a research assistant for the university’s Research Unit in Public Culture.
