Nono Mkhize

Dr. Nono Mkhize is a Medical Scientist overseeing the HIV vaccine trials laboratory within the HIV antibody laboratory at the Centre for HIV & STI’s, NICD. She obtained her PhD at the University of Cape Town in 2011 focusing on mucosal T cell immunity to HIV infection. She is a recipient of the L’Oreal UNESCO sub-Saharan fellowship. Her research interests lie in mucosal and vaccine elicited HIV-specific antibodies
