Researcher in Social Epidemiology, University of York

My research evolves around health inequalities; in particular social and ethnic inequalities in child and maternal health. I work for the University of York, but spend most of my time in Bradford, from where the Born in Bradford (BiB) and Born in Bradford's Better Start (BiBBS) cohort studies are run. Through these cohorts and others, I explore causes and patterns of ill health for women and children, and I study the effects of societal and individual-level changes and interventions.
