Dr. Oliver Fuo is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Law, North-West University (NWU), South Africa. His research primarily focuses on the role of local government in advancing the constitutional ideal of social justice in South Africa. He was the lead researcher for SALGA’s commissioned research project: “Policy Review Study: Public Procurement in the Local Government Context in South Africa over the last 25 Years” (2020).
Oliver Fuo has presented papers in national and international conferences and has published numerous articles in established national and international journals. Oliver Fuo is a recipient of several fellowships including: the TWAS-DFG Cooperation Visits Programme for Scientists from Sub-Saharan Africa; the Humboldt Talent Travel Award; and a DAAD Scholarship that enabled him to visit the Faculty of Law, Freie University, Berlin, Germany, on several occasions and the Justus-Liebig University, Giessen in 2013. He serves as a reviewer for several law journals and is Assistant Editor of the Potchefstroom Electronic Law Journal.
