Olwethu Shedi is an economist at the Centre for Competition Regulation and Economic Development (CCRED). She holds an MCom in economics (with distinction) from the University of the Witwatersrand. Her research interests include gender, competition economics and industrial development, poverty, and early childhood development, regional integration and food security. Prior to joining CCRED, Olwethu worked as a junior researcher at the Southern Centre for Inequality Studies (SCIS).
