My specialty is sleep and stress with significant professional and research experience examining the impact of traumatic and workplace stress in veterans and first responders. I have received funding for my research through the NIH, DoD, and various nonprofit organizations. I recently concluded a large-scale study funded by the NIH examining the health impacts of involuntary job loss on daily routine, sleep, and obesity. In addition to my academic pursuits, I am the clinical psychologist for a local fire agency where I provide evidence based intervention to employees for depression, PTSD, and burnout.
