Research Associate, Department of Zoology, University of Oxford

My professional career is centered on developing new economic and food production systems, based on reptiles, to address a nexus of global challenges. I explore ways in which the energy-centric biology of reptiles - their ability to exploit solar radiation and thrive in extreme, resource depleted environments - can be dovetailed with modern agricultural systems to create more sustainable agri-food systems. This focus is interconnected with a broad range of thematic areas, including conservation biology, agro-ecology, human wildlife conflict resolution and global change.
