Professor of Forestry, Wildlife and Fisheries and Director, Center for Native Grasslands Management, University of Tennessee

I work at the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture as the Director of the Center for Native Grasslands. In this role I lead a wide-ranging research program that reaches across numerous disciplines in an effort to understand these often-overlooked native plants and the communities associated with them. Of particular interest is how they can contribute to more sustainable and profitable family farms. I am also actively engaged in Extension - sharing the science outcomes with family farmers, other professionals and conservationists.
