Professor Glimcher is the Julius Silver Professor of Neural Science Professor of Neural Science, Economics and Psychology Director, Center for Neuroeconomics, at New York University.

He is a psychologist, neuroscientist and economist who has pioneered the field of neuroeconomics, which uses a variety of tools including cohort studies in experimental economics, brain imaging, and single neuron studies in non-human animals, to aid understanding of human choice and decision-making.
