Post-Doctoral Research Fellow Department of Environmental Science, Rhodes University

Penny is a researcher who completed her PhD in Ecology at WITS in 2016. Her postdoc in the Department of Environmental Science at Rhodes University explores human-environment dynamics. She is also an Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) global fellow involved in the assessment on the Sustainable Use of Wild Species. Her passion is in using interdisciplinary science and social-ecological systems approaches to explore natural resource and land use in southern Africa.
