PhD candidate in Modern History, Queen's University Belfast

I am a third year PhD History student based at QUB. I am an oral historian by training and (primarily) research the impact/legacy of deindustrialisation in the UK. More broadly, I am interested in British and Irish social history in the twentieth century and the nexus between class, work and leisure. A forthcoming publication in Cultural and Social History examines these issues in a seaside context, using the Isle of Man as a case study.
