Research Scientist, CSIRO

Peter Caccetta received his B. Eng. degree in electrical engineering from The University of Western Australia, Perth, Australia, in 1989. In 1997 he received a Ph.D in computing science from the Curtin University of Technology, Perth. He joined the Division of Mathematics, Informatics and Statistics, Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO), Wembley, Australia, in 1991, and worked on the development of broad-scale land cover mapping and monitoring technologies. Since 1999, he has been the Principal Scientist and Leader of the Remote Sensing and Image Integration Team, CSIRO. He has over 25 years of experience in establishing monitoring systems based on satellite and aerial platforms.
