Researcher, Newcastle University

I held research and teaching positions at the Economics Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, the University of Edinburgh (Centre for International Public Health Policy, Global Public Health Unit), and Queen Mary, University of London (Centre for Primary Care and Public Health). I am currently honorary researcher at Newcastle University (Population Health Sciences Institute). I have published studies focusing on the regulation of pharmaceutical industry, such as standards of quality, and the intersection of economic and public health issues related to international harmonisation and enforcement of such regulations. I am also looking into epidemiological and clinical data that support introduction of new (or old) medicines and vaccines into countries and the role of civil society organisations in the medicine/vaccine policy change and promotion of pharmaceutical products.
