Phillip Gordon Mackintosh

Professor of Geography, Brock University

Phillip Gordon Mackintosh is Professor of Geography in Brock University’s Department of Geography and Tourism Studies. His research in urban historical geography and the history of public space appears in journals such as the Annals of the Association of American Geographers, The Canadian Geographer, Geographical Review, Gender, Place, and Culture, and Journal of Historical Geography. He is the author of Newspaper City: The Liberal Press and Toronto’s Street Surfaces, 1860-1935 (University of Toronto Press), and co-editor of Architectures of Hurry—Mobilities, Modernity and Cities (Routledge, 2018) and The World of Niagara Wine (WLUP, 2013).
