Assistant Professor of Psychology, University of Kentucky

I am a developmental cognitive psychologist at the University of Kentucky. My research is focused on children’s understanding of math concepts. In particular, I’m interested in how we can leverage children’s knowledge of familiar concepts to help them understand new, difficult concepts. I also study how adults' understanding of, and emotions about, rational numbers impacts their ability to use numbers during health decision-making.
