Rachel Orzech is a PhD candidate at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music (University of Melbourne) and the University of Rouen, France. She also teaches music history at the Conservatorium. Her research interests include opera studies, reception studies, 19th and 20th-century French music and musical life, Jewish studies and Wagner studies. Her doctoral research centres on the reception of Wagner in Paris in the 1930s and 40s.
