Rahma Hassan is a social economic researcher from Kenya and a PhD fellow at the University of Nairobi and University of Copenhagen.

Her research focus has been on women rights and marginalised urban and rural populations. She has worked with global teams to research on health, gender, and governance in Africa. Her recent works include COVID-19 and sex workers in crises in Kenya. Rahma holds a Master of Arts degree from University Nairobi (Institute for Development Studies) and a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Nairobi, Department of Sociology and Social Work. Rahma has a passion for evidence based work and inclusive research for marginalized voices to be heard.
