PhD Candidate in Conservation and Ecology, Cardiff University

Rebecca Young researches the conservation and ecology of the European turtle dove, a species registered as "vulnerable" by the IUCN. She has studied populations of this species in the UK and throughout continental Europe, including Hungary.

Before starting her PhD, Young studied at the University of Nottingham. Her postgraduate research masters focused on parasite ecology, which is a theme she has incorporated in her PhD thesis.
