Ricardo Tapilatu

Guru Besar bidang Biologi Laut, Fakultas Perikanan dan Ilmu Kelautan (FPIK), Universitas Papua

Ricardo Tapilatu currently serves as Head of Research Center for Pacific Marine and Fisheries Resources at University of Papua (UNIPA), Manokwari, Papua Barat. He also lecturer and researcher at Marine and Fisheries Department, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science at the same university.

Tapilatu obtained Ph.D. in Marine Biology and Conservation, in June 2014, at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Department of Biology, College of Arts and Sciences.

He was a Pew Marine Fellow – Indonesia in 2018, an award for research on global Climate Change and the Critically Endangered Western Pacific Leatherback: Addressing the threat and saving the population (2018-2020), funded by Pew Charitable Trusts, USA.
