Richard Fletcher is an associate professor in the Family Action Centre, Faculty of Health and Medicine at The University of Newcastle, NSW. He has been conducting programs and research with boys, fathers and families for over 20 years and is the convenor of the Australian Fatherhood Research Network. His current research includes: Father’s role in families with PND; Rough and Tumble play and self regulation; Father-infant attachment; Indigenous fathering; Fathers of children with Autism; Using the web for parent support; and, Supporting separated parents of young children. His book ‘The Dad Factor: how father-baby bonding helps a child for life’ was published by Finch in March 2011 and has been translated into 5 languages.
