Richard Newton

Associate Professor Richard Newton is the Medical Director of Austin Mental Health Service. He is also a Consultant Psychiatrist and the Clinical Director, of BETRS, a specialist Body image, Eating Disorder, Treatment and Recovery Service. He is strongly committed to consumer and carer participation in Mental Health Service development and the provision of safe effective evidence based interventions for all members of the community in need of mental health care. He is a Board Member of the Butterfly Foundation and an alumnus of the Williamson Community Leadership program.
