Current work & interests
Richard’s research interests include evaluating the effects of policy interventions and changes to the environment on physical activity and active travel. This involves work using the Commuting and Health in Cambridge Study in addition to other routinely collected data.
Background and experience
Richard has studied public health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (MSc) and Imperial College London (PhD). His doctorate investigated the physical activity-related health-effects of public transport use, using large quantitative datasets from the National Travel Survey and the Office for National Statistics – Longitudinal Survey.
