Postdoctoral researcher in Geochemistry/Palaeoclimatology, University of Cape Town

I’m a palaeoclimatologist and geochronologist. My research involves U-series dating of secondary carbonates (speleothems, travertines, tufas). I’m specialized in understanding past variability in the hydroclimate in the Southern Hemisphere semi-arid subtropics. I currently work on speleothems from the Cradle of Humankind in South Africa and from various sites in southern Australia including the Naracoorte Caves, and on setting up a new dating laboratory at the University of Cape Town.
