Research Associate, Newcastle University

Robin is a researcher in human geography and is currently working on the AHRC funded project ‘Muslim Young People’s Political Participation in Scotland’. He is a social and cultural geographer with a specific interest in urban geographies of diasporas and migration. Robin submitted his PhD in early 2016, which was an examination of Moroccan diaspora formations in the city of Granada in southern Spain. He has worked as researcher at LSE Cities on the ‘Super-diverse streets: Economies and spaces of urban migration in UK Cities’ project. He also has government and policy research experience, working as quantitate researcher at the Migration and Borders Analysis team at the Home Office in London. Robin has contributed to teaching at Newcastle University, leading seminars at undergraduate and postgraduate level and lectures at undergraduate level.
