I am the co-leader of a programme to generate a reliable comparison of construction sector pipeline of work against the capacity and capability of the sector to deliver. This is based at Massey University School of built environment with Universities of Auckland and Canterbury contributions. It is funded by the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment 'Endeavour Fund'.
Following experience rebuilding pipes and roads after the Christchurch earthquake, I am championing ‘ENGAGE', a model for effective rebuild and recovery following a disaster. ENGAGE will make it easier for people in New Zealand and globally to prepare, mobilise and recover from disasters, using collaborative knowledge and systems born out of the Canterbury and then the Kaikoura earthquake response and recovery.
