As a marine scientist, my research focuses on understanding how human activities impact marine ecosystems and what changes to their functioning can be expected in the future.
I have been a Research Fellow at the Center for Applied Marine Sciences, School of Ocean Sciences, Bangor University, since 2016. Within this role I utilize a multi-disciplinary approach to address environmental issues and have professional collaborations with industry and NGOs.
Prior to this, I worked for several years on Coastal Zone Management and Fisheries issues at the Essex Estuaries Initiative in Colchester, England. I was then awarded an IGERT fellowship to study at the University of Rhode Island, where I completed the MMA (Master of Marine Affairs) program focusing on Marine Law and Policy.
I belong to the Reef Systems Research Group at the School of Ocean Sciences, Bangor University, and am a member of the Coral Specialist Group of the IUCN.
