Roslynn Baatjies

Lecturer in the Applied Sciences Faculty, Cape Peninsula University of Technology

Dr Roslynn Baatjies has a BSc and MTech from CPUT and a Masters degree in Public Health from Wits. Her PhD emanated from research activities in occupational allergy and asthma in the Centre of Environmental and Occupational Health Research in the School of Public Health and Family Medicine at UCT.

She lectures in Epidemiology and Statistics, in the Dept of Environmental and Occupational Studies at CPUT. Her work in the Centre for Environmental and Occupational Health Research at UCT focuses on occupational allergy and asthma.

She has extensive experience in occupational exposure assessment, data analysis and statistical modelling. Current projects include the following:
Work-related asthma among healthcare workers exposed to cleaning agents
Work-related asthma among workers exposed to wood dust
Air pollution exposure and childhood asthma in communities across the Western Cape
