Forensic Psychologist & Clinical Lead, University of Nottingham

Dr Ruth Tully is a Clinical Lead & Forensic Psychologist at Tully Forensic Psychology Ltd. She is a British Psychological Society (BPS) Chartered Psychologist and a Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Registered Psychologist. She is an expert who specialises in the assessment and treatment of those who commit sexual and violent offences, and other aspects of risk.

Dr Tully is the director of Tully Forensic Psychology Ltd, where she leads a team of forensic and clinical psychologists who provide expert witness and other clinical services across the UK. She was an Assistant Professor at The University of Nottingham.

Dr Tully has worked extensively in the prisons of England and Wales (HMPS/NOMS) across security categories. She also has a range of experience working in NHS hospitals and community settings. Her experience in these diverse settings has involved broad roles as a clinician, researcher, consultant, manager, and as an expert witness.

Dr Tully has a wide range of experience working with a range of client groups e.g.men and women with personality disorder (PD), mental health and learning disability (ID/LD). She is trained and experienced in ethically and competently applying a variety of assessment tools, and she is an experienced trainer of others. Dr Tully has led on psychological service development, audits, and evaluations.
